All ended well, didn't it?

Charles Eyler was a major character who was properly introduced in Hello Charlotte Episode 3, but has appeared using the C vessel as an disguise in both Episode 1 and Episode 2.

Personality

Charles is a very distant individual who prefers time to think by himself or with the few people he has become close with over less thought or creativity-based activities. On a surface level, he is an organized and methodical person, but it becomes clear overtime that he has a far less controlled side to him. A large part of the reason for Charles being so distant is most likely due to his belief that the entire world is contaminated (save for Vincent, whom he idolizes), which is both outright stated by Charles himself and visually implied by how all strangers, his mother, Scarlett, and Anri have all appeared distorted at least once. Despite how thoughtful he is in a logical sense, Charles has some difficulty in understanding certain perspectives that stray too far from his own. This can be seen first and foremost when he attempts to overdose with Anri and is taken aback by her unsettled and insulted reaction. Outside of his general disdain for the world, he also holds a great deal of hatred and criticism towards himself which manifests as Scarlett, who he describes as an "ugly reflection of [himself]." She always appears during his episodes with numerous insults and various ways for Charles to hurt himself under the guise of "betterment" and passing the trial. However, these efforts to prepare for the trial had very little merit to them since Charles killed himself in the end.

Role in plot

Charles is the God of the House, and therefore all characters and concepts in it are born from his mind. All events in the Hello Charlotte series take place in the world born from Charles' soul after his death. Charles explains in the ending of episode 3 that he had went there in order to get revenge on Scarlett and cause her to remember their past. Despite all his efforts to cause her memory to return, it did not. He understood now that she became different then how his tulpa was while alive, and ended up forgiving her. He could not save nor harm her during his time there, and could only leave her to her fate instead.

Charles’ first appearance occurs when Seth leaves Charlotte and controls Felix through a maze. Disguised as an Executioner, he warns Charlotte that she and Felix will be dead in ten minutes, but she can prevent this if she allows him possess her body. She agrees, and while possessed they kill the Pythia wanting to play hide and seek. This is what caused Charlotte to remember her past as Scarlett, and her failure to prove V19 wrong by killing the Pythia.
